CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Charles H. Cox Sr., 8 Apr 2002 ----¤¤¤---- February 28,1942-April 8,2002 Graveside services were conducted April 10,2002 at Pomona Cemetery, for Charles Harlan Cox Sr., 60, of Crossville,TN. who passed away April 8, 2002. Bro. Robert Dodson officiated. Special music was by Mr. Cox's grandson, Harlan Cox, and nephew, Lonnie Norrod. Mr. Cox was born Feb. 28, 1942, in Pleasant Hill, the son of Charles W. and Lois Boles Cox. He was a farmer, and operated The Pumpkin Patch. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife, Anna Norrod Cox of Crossville; sons and daughters- in-law, Frank and Connie Parker of Camp Lejeune, NC, and Harlan and Melodie Cox of Crossville; daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Curt Buckner of Crossville; mother, Lois Cox of Crossville; sisters, Monteen DeVore of Lawrenceville, GA, and Mary Lewis of New Athens, IL; and grandchildren, Harlan W. Cox, Lyle Cox, Hayden Cox, Amanda Buckner and Sarah Buckner. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Cox; and brother, Lyle Cox. Pallbearers were Kevin Hinch, Dennis Hinch, Tony Farris, Ted Swafford, Joe Kilgore and Bill Hinch.
