MYRTLE MAE DAVIS

Aug. 23, 1925--Aug. 24, 1997



Funeral services for Myrtle Mae Davis, 72, of Sparta Dr., Crossville,TN., who 

passed away Aug. 24, 1997 in Cumberland Medical Center, were held Aug. 26,1997 

from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres 

Memory Gardens. 



She was born Aug. 23, 1925 in Byrdstown, TN, the daughter of Ed Matheny and 

Atha Nance Matheny. 

Mrs. Davis was a housewife. 



She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Davis; and parents, Ed and 

Atha Matheny.



Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Davis of Lake Tansi Village, Jeanie 

Rector of Smyrna, TN and Janice Noland of Crossville,TN.; brothers, Lester 

Matheny of Los Angeles, CA and Ward Matheny of Baltimore, MD; sister, Betty 

Broyles of Wilmington, DE; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. 



Pallbearers were Kenneth Noland, John Noland, David Noland, Johnny Presley, 

Jerry Tibbs and Jimmy Davis. 



The Revs. J.D. Carnes and Russell Honeycutt officiated.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
