James E. Davis

Aug. 28, 1926 - Jan. 28, 2002



Funeral services were conducted Jan. 31,2002, from the chapel of Hood Funeral 

Home in Crossville,TN.,for James Ezell Davis, 75, of Murfreesboro, TN, who 

passed away Jan. 28, 2002. Burial was in New Era Cemetery. 

Bro. Junior Pugh officiated.

Mr. Davis was born Aug. 28, 1926, the son of William Sylvester and Ruby Varnell 

Green Davis.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of Mt. Enoa 

Primitive Baptist Church in Plant City, FL.

Survivors include his wife, Alma Jean Davis of Crossville,TN.; sons, Buddy 

Davis of Lakeland, FL, Billy Davis of Camdon, TN, and Bobby Davis of 

Crossville,TN.; daughter, Sharon Eckley of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren; and 

four great-grandchildren.

A military honor guard served as pallbearers.

Hood Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
