DEROTHA FRADY DAVIS

July 19, 1909--Dec. 4, 1998



Funeral services for Derotha Frady Davis, 89, of Nashville,TN., who passed away 

Dec. 4, 1998, were held Dec. 7,1998, from the chapel of Crossville Memorial 

Funeral Home, with burial in New Era Cemetery. 

Bro. Odell Kirby officiated. 



She was born July 19, 1909 in White County, TN, the daughter of William and 

Nancy Jane Smith Frady. 



Mrs. Davis was a housewife, and she was affiliated with Crieve Hall Church of 

Christ in Nashville at the time of her death. Previously, she had been a member 

of Steven's Gap Church of Christ. She taught youth Sunday school classes and 

classes for vacation Bible school for many years. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, 

gardening and quilting. 



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claud 

Tillman Davis, whom she married Feb. 2, 1936; sisters, Winnie Frady and Rhoda 

Webb; brothers, Leonard, Lawerence, Willard and Everett Frady; and two infant 

daughters.



Survivors include her daughter, Syble Fay Hubbard of Nashville; sisters, Naomi 

Glover of Alabama, Racheal Horseman of Kentucky, and Ruby Middleton of Ohio; 

brother, Evans Frady of Crossville; brothers in law, Calvin, Kenneth and Herman 

Davis; and sisters-in-law, Hattie Reed and Nettie Summers. 



Pallbearers were Calvin Sr. and his sons, J.C., Tony, Larry, Calvin Jr. and 

J.E. Davis.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
