MAMIE DAVIS

March 2, 1919--Sept. 28, 2000



Mamie Davis, 81, of Crossville,TN., passed away Sept. 28, 2000, in WyndRidge 

Health and Rehabilitation Center. 

Funeral services were conducted Sept. 29,2000, from the chapel of Bilbrey 

Funeral Home, with burial in Davis Cemetery. 

Bro. Joe James officiated.

Mrs. Davis was born March 2, 1919, in Bledsoe County, TN, the daughter of John 

and Florence Rosie Simmons Thomas. 

She was a homemaker, and a charter member of Winesap Freewill Baptist Church.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Rainey Davis; brothers, Walter 

Thomas, Coy Thomas, Roy Thomas, Marion Thomas, Everett Thomas and Elmer Thomas; 

and sisters, Ollie Mae and Vina Lea Thomas.



Survivors include her daughter, Hellen Davis Mullinax of Crossville,TN.; sons, 

Lester Davis of Detroit, MI, Wesley Davis, Elbert Davis and Charlie Davis, all 

of Crossville,TN.; sister, Nellie Rose Crawford of Pikeville, TN; brother, 

Monroe Thomas of Pikeville,TN.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.



Pallbearers were Lee Asberry, Carl Scott, Mike Asberry, Dwayne Davis, Nathan 

Davis and Richard Mullinax.

Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements
