George Bryan Davis, 74, of Crossville,TN. passed away July 8, 1998, Graveside 
services were scheduled for today, July 10,1998 at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn 
Cemetery in Nashville,TN. Pallbearers were members of Mr. Davis' family. 
Honorary pallbearers were friends of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the 
West Avenue Church of Christ and the 127 South Senior Center, all in 
Crossville,TN.
Mr.Davis was born Sept. 20 1923 in Milford, IA, the son of Joseph Vernon Davis 
and Myrtle Webb Davis. Mr. Davis attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 
Crossville,TN. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, 
and he was an employee of Nashville Gas Company for 30 years. 

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Davis of Crossville; sons, Johnnie Davis 
of Mt. Juliet, TN, Wayne Davis and wife, Anita, of Grandville, TN, and Larry 
Davis and wife, Dara, of Franklin, TN; stepchildren, Jim Taylor and wife, 
Patty, of Santa Fe, NM, John Taylor and wife, Alice, of Franklin, TN, Jerry 
Taylor and wife, Janet, of Brentwood, TN, Marianne Victory and Jeana Kaye 
Miller both of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Martin Davis and wife, Macy, and 
John Davis and wife, Ruby, all of Woodbury, TN; half-brothers, Donald Davis 
and wife, Ruth, of Chattanooga, and Roger Davis and wife, Elanor, of 
Centerville, TN; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  He was 
preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Vernon and Myrtle Webb Davis.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
