CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Harley Davis & Loretta P. Garrison --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- HUSBAND and WIFE Loretta P. Garrison May 28, 1937-Sept. 18, 2002 Funeral services were conducted Sept. 21, 2002, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Crossville, TN., for Loretta Pearl Garrison, 65, of Crossville, TN., who passed away Sept. 18, 2002. Burial was in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bro. Mike Kerley officiated, with special music by Terry Christopher. Pallbearers were Joe Caruthers, Edd Caruthers, John Selby, Bob Selby, Travis Marsh and Tyler Marsh. Mrs. Garrison was born May 28, 1937, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Gene and Nota Mae Evans Mathes. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Harley Garrison of Crossville, TN., mother Nota Flowers of Crossville, TN., sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Kim Garrison of Knoxville, TN., and Randy Garrison of Crossville, TN., daughter and son-in- law, Debbi and Ernest Galbraith of Crossville, TN., brother, Thomas Evans of Livingston, TN; and grandchildren, Travis Marsh, Tyler Marsh and Tasha Garrison. Hood Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Harley Davis Garrison May 30, 1929-April 4, 2005 Funeral services will be Friday, April 8, 2005 at 1 p. m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, for Harley Davis Garrison, 75, of Crossville, TN., who passed away April 4, 2005. Bro. Mike Kerley officiating. Joel Richards will provide special music. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Garden. Crossville City Police officers will act as pallbearers, and Mr. Garrison will receive full military honors. The family received friends from 6 to 9 p. m. Thursday night at Cornerstone Baptist, and will receive friends from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m. Friday. Mr. Garrison was born May 30, 1929, in Cumberland County, TN., the son of Richard Burt and Mary Edwards Garrison. He was retired as a Crossville Police officer and chief of police, where he was honored as policeman of the year in 1983. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during Korea. Mr. Garrison loved to fish, sing and play guitar. He especially loved his constant companion, son Randy. Mr. Garrison is survived by his sons, Harley Randy Garrison of Crossville, TN., Dennis Garrison and wife, Kim, of Knoxville, TN., and Billy Davis Garrison of Brook Park, OH; daughter, Debbi Galbraith and husband, Ernest, of Crossville, TN., and grandchildren Travis Marsh, Tyler Marsh and Tasha Garrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Garrison; brothers Johnny Garrison and Edgar Garrison; and sisters Muriel Waldo, Ann Caruthers, Susie Selby and Rosalee Garrison.
