CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Burl Goss, 13 Nov 1996 ----¤¤¤---- January 26,1927-November 13,1996 Burl Elmo Goss, 69, of the Dorton community, passed away Nov. 13, 1996, Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15,1996 from the Chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home with burial at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Rev. Russell Honeycutt officiated with special music by the Dorton Quartet. Pallbearers were Scott Myers, Sam Crye ,Terry Hood, Gerald Henry, Roger Smith, and Dale Parker. Mr. Goss was born Jan. 26, 1927 in Cumberland County,TN. He was a press operator for Manchester Tank Company and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr.Goss is preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Pearl Hedgecoth Goss, and brother John C. Jay Goss. Survivors include his sons, Terry and Chris Goss, both of Crossville; daughter, Cynthia Presley of Crossville; four grandchildren; one great- grandchild; sisters, Edith Henry, Mildred Smith and Mary Lou Myers, all of Crossville; and several nieces and nephews.
