Bessie May Hale, 88, of Goodwin Court, Crossville,TN., passed away 
May 28, 1998,in Cumberland Medical Center.
Funeral services were held May 30,1998, from the chapel of Bilbrey 
Funeral Home, with burial in Linary Cemetery. 
Bro. Thomas Hale Jr. officiated.
Pallbearers were Tommy Phillips, Jessie Reed, Frankie Sherrill, Billy 
Bowman, Paul Byrd and Buddy Paul Byrd.
She was born April 14, 1910 in Cumberland County,TN., the daughter 
of John and Annie Edwards Reed. 
Mrs. Hale was a housewife, and she was a member of the Church of God. 
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Franz of Perris, CA; five grand-
children; brother, Casto Reed of Crossville,TN., sister, Hazel Phillips 
Petrie of Crossville,TN., and niece, Lisa Smith of Crossville.,TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Hale.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
