September 28,1928-March 27,1997

Irvine Harvey Kidd, 68, Folkston, Ga., passed away Thursday, March 27, 1997, 
at his residence. Funeral services were held March 29,1997 at Shepard Funeral 
Home Chapel in Folkston,Ga.,with Reb. Gene McCullough officiating.

Graveside services were held March 31,1997 at Haley's Grove Cemetery in Crab 
Orchard,TN. Shepard Funeral Home and Bilbrey Funeral Home in charge of the 
arrangements. Mr. Kidd was born Sept.28,1928 and was a native of Faber, Va., 
but had lived in Folkston,Ga., for the past 27 years. He was a U.S. Air Force 
veteran of Korea and retired from Goldkist in 1979 after a number of years. He 
was a member of East Ridge Christian Church in Chattanooga.

 He is survived by his wife, Leah A. Kidd of Crab Orchard; daughters Diane 
Vanzant of Keystone Heights, Fla., Susan Brantley and Lynda Southwell, both of 
Folkston; brothers James Kidd of Powhatan, Va., and Kenneth Kidd of Afton, 
Va.; and six grandchildren. 

Family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Southeast Georgia, 333 
Ashley Street, Kingsland, GA 31548, or the American Cancer Society, c/o Joyce 
Dinkins, Rt. 3, Box 570, Folkston, GA 31537.
