Erin Gertrude "Gertie" Norris, 80, of Crossville,TN., passed away 
July 20, 1999.
Funeral services were held July 22,1999, from the chapel of Bilbrey 
Funeral Home, with burial in Dorton Cemetery. Bros. Thomas Hale 
Jr. and Howard Scott officiated, with special music by Janis Norris, 
John Pugh, Bro. Eddie Kilgore and family.
Pallbearers were Darrell Armstrong, Allen Blaylock, Paul Cottrell, 
Allen Foster, Caleb Norris and Kevin Wagner.
She was born May 15, 1919 in McMinn County, TN, the daughter of 
Samuel Landon Ball and Elizabeth Allen Ball.
Mrs. Norris had been an employed in laundry services at Cumberland 
Medical Center, and she had been a member of Church of God of
Prophecy since 1946. 
She had most recently been a member of Crossville Church of God 
of Prophecy.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Faye and 
Ralph Hubert Blaylock of Crossville,TN., sons and daughters-in-law, 
Julius Edward "J.E." Norris of Nashville, TN, Thomas Carl and Jan 
Norris of Crab Orchard,TN., and Roger Leland and Judy Norris of 
Sevierville, TN; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, 
Geraldine Patton of Clinton, TN; brothers, Leon, Wilburn and Pete 
Ball, all of Crossville,TN., very special nieces, Candy Scott and Edna 
Foster; special friends, Howard and Wilda Cottrell Scott of Crossville,
TN., and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Norris; parents, 
Samuel and Elizabeth Ball; brothers, Earnest, Austin, Charlie and 
Chester Ball; sisters, Annie Ball Ingram, Thelma Marie Ball Belvin, 
Mary Ellen Ball Meadows, Edna Elizabeth Ball Lawson Crye.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
