Funeral services for Frank Rector, 83, of Hillcrest Drive, Crossville, were 
held July 23 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home. Mr.Rector passed away 
July 21, 1998. Burial was in the Crossville City Cemetery.
Mr.Rector was born May 10, 1913 in Cumberland County, the son of Charlie and 
Sallie Wyatt Rector.
Mr. Rector was a steel mill worker, and he was a member of Mountain View 
Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors 
include his sisters and brother-in-law, Sylvia Conley, and Lillian and Lowell 
Thompson, all of Crossville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Jewell 
Rector and Daniel and Marjorie Rector, all of Crossville; and sister-in-law, 
Christine Rector of Crossville. He was preceded in death by his parents, 
Charlie and Sallie Rector; brother, Harlan Rector; and brother-in-law, 
Mitchell Conley.
Pallbearers were Van Thompson, Charles Rector Jr., Lowell Thompson, Dean 
Buckner, Tom Thompson, Andy Goss and Ronald Rector. The Revs. Russell 
Honeycutt and Eliot Roberts officiated.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
