Ira Reed, 87, of Crossville,TN. passed away Oct. 13, 1998, Funeral services
were held Oct. 16,1998, from the chapel of Burris Funeral Home, with burial 
in Grassy Cove Methodist Church Cemetery.Pallbearers were Jason Reed, 
Ben Reed, Zachary Martin, Billy Johnson, Mark Martin and Robert Martin. 
The Revs. Russell Honeycutt and Jim Rogers officiated.
He was born July 1, 1911 in Cumberland County, TN.the son of George and 
Hattie Reed.
Mr. Reed was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Nannie Reed of Crossville; daughters, Reba 
Wiggins, Lenior, NC; Goldie Wolfenbarger of San Bern, CA; and Carol Martin of 
Crossville; stepdaughters, Patricia Winningham of Wheeling, IL; and Jean 
Stevens of Crossville; son, George Reed of Crossville; stepson, Dean 
Winningham of Crossville; sister, Marie Tesh of Newport News, VA; nine 
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Heflin Reed and Edna Hillary Reed; 
daughter, Ethel Reed Russell; parents, George and Hattie Reed; and brothers, 
Richard Reed and James Reed. 
Burris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
