CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Curtis F. Rimmer, 28 Jan 2005 ----¤¤¤---- Aug.8,1919-Jan.28,2005 Funeral services were conducted Jan. 29,2005, from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, for Curtis Foch Rimmer, 85, of Crossville,TN., who passed away Jan.28,2005. Bro. Bratton Tucker and Bro. Boyd Roberts officiating. Special music was performed by nephew Ronald Rimmer of Knoxville,TN., Reba Russell Reed of Crossville,TN., and the Pomona United Methodist Church choir. Burial was in Pomona Cemetery on Jan. 30.2005. Pallbearers were Mark Sliger, Ricky Denton, Roger Denton, Donald Rimmer and Jerry Rimmer. Honorary pallbearers were Luke Barker, Jimmy Ray Page, Ronnie Rimmer, Lee Cline and Mike Rimmer. Mr. Rimmer was born Aug. 8, 1919, in Jefferson County, TN, the son of Claude and Flora Cox Rimmer. He was retired and a member of the Pomona United Methodist Church. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ethel Denton Rimmer of Crossville, TN., sons, Donald Curtis Rimmer and Jerry Rimmer of Crossville,TN., daughter, Patricia Barker of Nashville,TN., special nephews, Ricky and Roger Denton of Crossville,TN., grandchildren, Missy (Mark) Sliger, Donna Rimmer, Tina Rimmer, Mike (Tammy) Rimmer, Sonya (Chris) Cole and Mary Ann (Rodney) Williams; great-grandchildren, Lauren Sliger, Cody Rimmer, Jessica LeAnn Rimmer and Dillon Rimmer Williams; brothers, J.W., Robert and Raymond Rimmer of Knoxville,TN., and sisters, Agnes Kirby and Blanche Kenley of Knoxville,TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Rimmer; sister, Vera Edwards; and granddaughter, Carla LeeAnn Rimmer.
