Martha B. Sherrill, 77, of Breckenridge Road, Crossville,TN., passed 
away July 29, 1997 in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville,TN.
Funeral services were held Aug. 1,1997, from the chapel of Crossville 
Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in Big Lick Cemetery.
The Rev. Jeff Monday officiated. 
Pallbearers were Shawn Bruce, Gary Bruce, Clavin Bruce, Timmy 
Bruce, Benny Bruce, and Kenny Bruce.
She was born May 8, 1920, the daughter of Kitty Harris Bruce and 
William L. Bruce.
Mrs. Sherrill was a retired cashier for Rinks Department Store.
Survivors include her son, Dallas Sherrill of Crossville; daughter, 
Barbara Joan Horne of Xenia, OH; sisters, Verna Hale of Crossville, 
Pearl Franks of Tunnel Hill, GA, Bessie Pendergrass of Dayton, TN, 
and Norma Bruce of Crossville; brothers, A.C. Bruce and Wilker Bruce, 
both of Crossville; grandson, Brian Earley of Xenia, OH; granddaughter, 
Heidi Horn of Xenia, OH; and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor, and 
Alicia Earley, all of Xenia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Sherrill; parents, 
William Bruce and Kitty Harris Bruce; sister, Nellie Hinch; and brother, 
Joe Bruce.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
