Clarence Avery Sherrill, 53, of Crossville,TN., passed away 
March 30, 1998 in Auburn, IN.
Funeral services were held April 1,1998,from the chapel of
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home,with burial in Green Acres
Memory Gardens.
The Rev. Wayne Matthews officiated.
Pallbearers were Bobby Davis, Nick Hedgecoth, Cecil Smith, 
Jeff Hoskins, Doyle Hoskins and Monroe Hoskins.
He was born Sept. 30, 1944 in Cumberland County,TN., the 
son of Clarence A. Sherrill Sr. and Henrietta England Sherrill.
Mr. Sherrill was a truck driver for Averitt Express Company 
and a member of Homesteads Baptist Church. 
He was a member of the Cumberland County Rescue Squad 
for 10 years and worked for the Cumberland County 
Ambulance Service for 10 years.
Survivors include his mother, Henrietta England Sherrill of 
Crossville,TN., wife, Wanda Clouse Sherrill of Crossville,TN., 
daughters, Laura Knight and Donna Sherrill; son, James 
Sherrill; grandson, Blake Sherrill; sister, Betty Findley of 
Crossville;,TN.,and brothers, Lindy Sherrill of Crossville,TN., 
and Bobby Sherrill of Meridian, MS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence A. Sherrill Sr.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the 
arrangements.
