Funeral services were conducted June 12,2001, from the chapel of 
Bilbrey Funeral Home, for William "Bill" Ben Smith, 74, of Graysville, 
TN, who passed away June 8,2001.
Burial in Pomona Cemetery. Bro. Reed Jones officiated.
Pallbearers were William Ben Smith, Willie Smith Jr., Barry Dean Massey, 
Michael Lee Smith, Charles VanWinkle and Alan Davis.
Mr. Smith was born Feb. 28, 1927, in Champaign, IL, the son of Anthony 
Calvin and Edna VanDoran Freeman Smith.
He was a factory worker for Carter's Ink, and of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his sons, Billy Smith and Willie Smith, both of Chattanooga,
TN., daughter, Pauline Massey of Chattanooga,TN., sisters, Mary Elizabeth 
Haston of Sparta,TN., and Pauline Barnes of Rock Island, TN; brothers, 
Wayne Smith Hanisch of St. Louis, MO, and Bob Smith of Sparta,TN., 11 
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorene Smith; brothers, Asa Lee 
Smith, Walter Smith, Willard Smith, Richard Smith and Burnest Smith; and 
sisters, Ruby Smith and Norma Smith.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
