Ms. Warner was born on August 13, 1922. She was the eldest child of Bessie Smith. Upon the death of her mother, when she was a young girl, she went to live with her grandparents, James and Dolly Harding. She was raised by her grandparents and grew up with her mother's younger siblings. She often said that she always thought of her aunts and uncles more like sisters and brothers because they grew up so closely together. She is preceded in death by her mother; her grandparents; aunts, Rachel Harding Kerley, Pearlie Harding Music, Lena Harding Loope; and uncles, Casto Smith, Alonzo Harding, Milo Harding and Jay Harding. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Oliver Walker and Charles Boston. She is survived by her sister, Grace Gilbert. Edna never met a stranger. She was a jolly soul and a kindred spirit to everyone she met. She loved to laugh and joke. She brought smiles to the faces of every- one who knew her. As a young woman, Edna married and is preceded in death by her husband Otto Warner. While she never had children of her own, there were many children that she thought of as hers. She loved and doted upon her step- children and the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of her aunts and uncles. In the later years of her life, she found comfort, companionship, friendship and love with Robert Woody. He was a very special friend to her and precedes her in death by only ten months. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements. ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
