This family cemetery was set aside from a 50 acre tract of land deeded to Mary Mann Bell in 1834 by her father Robert Mann. Succeeding generations of the Bell Family have used the plot as a family burial ground since its establishment. Approximately three dozen stones marking the locations of individual interments are inside the confines of the fence. Rough pieces of fieldstone, inscribed tablets or blocks of marble, limestone or granite mark the graves. The last burial here was in 1982.
