This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Mary Charlotte Hall ==================================================================== The following information was transcribed on October 30, 1999 from tombstones at what is known as the Old McCrory Cemetery. Even though there is only one tombstone with the name McCrory on it, the cemetery is on property that was once part of a North Carolina land grant belonging to the sons of Capt. Thomas McCrory (aka McRory.) This cemetery is on McCrory Lane, just off of Highway 100 in southwest Davidson County. NOTE: Transcriptions are recorded exactly as shown on tombstones except that the surname has been placed at the beginning of each entry for easier identification. Entries with an asterisk have not had the surname transposed as to have done so might cause confusion in reading of the tombstone text. Each grouping represents one tombstone. Listings are in a sectional order so names appearing close to each other within the list reflect that the tombstones bearing those names are within close proximity of each other. Transcriber's notes are in parentheses.
