It is in an area which was formerly known as the Town of Donelson but has now been incorporated into the City of Nashville. To reach the cemetery, travel on Donelson Pike until parallel to the airport. Turn east onto Couchville Pike, north (left) onto Pleasant Hill Road and then west (left) onto Pulley Road. Just past the first house on the right (#2640 Pulley Road) is an overgrown, grassy road, leading to the cemetery which is in a wooded area, surrounded by a wire fence and gate. W S WAGGONER 1849 - 1923 (badly worn) (The death certificate, Williamson County, Roll No. 148, Book 61, Page 322, gives W. S. Waggoner's date of birth as Dec 29, 1851 and his date of death a s July 23, 1922. His father is listed as John Waggoner; his mother as Jane Burnett, both born in Tennessee. The informant is Henry Waggoner, Nashville, Tn. The place of burial is listed as "9 miles Couchville" which would be roughly nine miles from the center of Nashville, the location of the Starkey Cemetery.) In addition to the graves marked with inscribed stones, there are many graves marked only with upright field stones inserted into the ground. According to Seat family history, the following four individuals are known to be buried in the Starkey Cemetery, near the eastern fence, without any markers: ELLEN ELIZABETH WAGGONER SEAT b. Aug 27, 1846, D. June 15, 1909 (Ellen's husband, Algernon Seat, died Oct 21, 1901 in Lewisburg, KY and was buried at Epley Station Cemetery, Logan County, KY) and her two daughters: MYRTLE R SEAT PATTON b. May 10, 1866, date of death unknown (Myrtle's husband, Thomas James Patton, died January 7, 1936 and was buried at Donelson Church of Christ Cemetery in Donelson, Davidson County, TN) FLORENCE ADA SEAT BENNETT b. Aug 5, 1869, date of death unknown (Florence's first husband was her cousin, David Seat, buried in an unmarked grave at Greenville Methodist Church in Joelton, Davidson County, TN. Her second husband was Sam Bennett - no further information.) and Myrtle R Seat Patton's young son: EUGENE PATTON, b. Aug 1890, d. 1892
