Thomas Dickey (d.1807) – Eleanor (Hagen) Dickey – Rowan County NC



1786	7 March. Thomas acquired a land grant in Tennessee. (Carolina Land 

Grants in Tennessee, 1778-1791, book 12, p. 46.)



To Thomas Dickey, the assignee of Jane McDaniel, 1000 acres in Davidson County 

[TN] on West Harper River next to 2560 tract of Lt. Robert Hays. This was 

granted in recognition of the bravery of Corporal Alexander McDaniel in the 

Continental line, the heiress is the said Jane McDaniel, being tract #237.

State grant #237 to Thomas Dickey, assignace [assignee?] of Jane McDaniel, 

heir of Alexander McDaniel who was a corporal in the Continential Line. this 

grant is in consideration of the service of Alexander McDaniel, for a tract of 

1000 A in Davidson Co., [not state given, but TN] on West Harper River adj. 

Lt. Robert Hays.
