James WRAY and William WRAY For 150 acres of Land in Neely's Bend of Cumberland River in Davidson County Registered Nov. 25, 1825 This indenture made the sixth day of October in the year of our Lord 1825 between William WRAY of Davidson County and the State of Tennessee, of the one part and James WRAY of the county and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William WRAY for an inconsideration of I have love good will and affection I have and ____to James WRAY my son do freely give grant convet and confirm untosaid James WRAY his heirs and assigns for ____all that had of land lying in said county of Davidson in Neely's bend on the north side of Cumberland River the same being a part of a tract of land whereon the said William WRAY now lives and holds by deed dated the ninth of October 1797 which said tract hereby intended to be conveyed is bounded as follows. Beginning at a Sycamore on the bank of Cumberland river The same being lower cornr of the said WRAYS tract of land. Thence running with the line of said tract north sixty degrees east one hundred and eighty three poles to a stake in said line. Near a white oak marker or corner. Thence south two degrees West two hundred and eighty seven poles to a sycamore, and mulberry on the bank of said river. Thence down the river with its meanders to the beginning containing one hundred and fifty acres of land. ______his to have and to hold the said tract of land to him the said James WRAY his heirs and assigns forever and he the said William WRAY for himself his heirs executors or administrators do covenant and agree to and with the said James WRAY his heirs and assigns that the before cited tract of land ___ ___William WRAY will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the said tract of land to him the said James WRAY his heirs and assigns against the claims of all away ____ ____ ____ whatsoever. And it is also understood and agreed by the said William WRAY and James WRAY that the said James WRAY is not to have possession of the whole of the tract of land hereby conveyed until the death of the said William WRAY and his wife Mary WRAY. The part thereby reserved from the possession of the said James WRAY whereafter to be agreed upon by the parties. Witness whereof the said William WRAY hath hereunto set his hand and seal this day and date above written. This indenture of bargain and sale between William WRAY of the one part and James WRAY of the other part was proven in open court to be the act and deed of the said William WRAY by the oath of John WRAY and Samuel WEAKLEY the subscribing witnesses and ordered to be registered.
