He was born in Anson County North Carolina, January 13, 1758. He served as a Lieutenant in South Carolina service in the battles of Brandywine and Germantown under Baron de Kalb. He moved to Tennessee after the Revolution. He married 1784, Elilabeth [sic] Little, born 1765, died 1829. Morgan Brown died after 1832 when he was drawing pension in Davidson County. Note: Among his children were: Morgan W. who married Tnn [sic] Maria Childress; Catherine Stuart who married Judge William Arthur Cook; Elizabeth Little who married Samuel Vance; and William Little Brown.
