The Weely Constitution, Atlanta, Ga. June 28, 1892
Nashville, Tenn., June 19. -- Mrs. W. H. Clark, the wife of a well-to-do farmer 

living at New Hope, in this county, hanged herself in her room last night.  

Some unknown trouble with her father and the recent marriage of a sixteen-year-

old daughter, who was going to move to Texas, preyed on her mind, and last week 

she tried to shoot her head off with a gun.  She has been watched since, but 

last night got away from the daughter, who was watching her, wrote a farewell 

letter on one of the children's slates and hanged herself in the kitchen.
