Henderson At Home Ceremony A wedding of interest was solemnized Saturday evening at twilight at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James P. McGlone, when their daughter, Gertrude Margaret, became the bride of Ralph Pattillo Henderson, of Nashville, Tenn. Before the ceremony Mrs. Charles H. Rice, sang, “I Love You Truly.” Entering to the strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, played by Mrs. Ruby Young, was Miss Minnie Giardina, maid of honor, wearing a smart frock of russet color satin back crepe trimmed in black seal with hat and accessories to match. She carried an arm bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums tied with yellow tulle. The bride was given in marriage by her father, J..P. McGlone, and was met at the altar by the groom and his best man, Lowe Henderson. Rev. Harold J. Barr, of the Immaculate Conception church, performed the ceremony. The bride was lovely in a frock of cedar crepe trimmed in Persian banding and brown fur. Her hat was a lovely model of silver lace trimmed in French flowers, the bride’s only ornament being a platinum bar pin, the gift of the groom. Her corsage bouquet was of lilies of the valley and bride’s roses. Miss Bobbette Collins presided at the bride’s table which was overlaid with a handsome lace cover. Tall silver candle-holders tied with pink tulle held unshaved tapers and dainty pink comports held the nuts and mints. The bride’s cake was beautifully embossed containing favors. Mrs. J.P. McGlone was assisted in receiving by Mrs. F.M. McDonald, Mrs. Warner Hume, Mrs. J.Bowers, Mrs. Edgar Henderson and Mrs. H.H. Smith. Immediately after the reception the bride and groom left for Nashville, Tenn., where they will make their future home.
