Will Book 2 Page 262 Written: December 31, 1801 Recorded: December 20, 1802 State of Tennessee Smith County December the 31 1801 I James Kenedy of the state of Tennessee and County of Davidson being in a sick and low state of Body but of sound mind and memory Despose of my Estate of in the following manner Item to my beloved wife Elizabeth Kenedy I will and bequeath one third of the land on which she now lives the land to be run Crossways so as to Include the Dwelling house she now lives in for her to hold said land in full and free possession During her natural life time or widow hood with a suffitioncey of pork to serve her one year and her Bed and furniture and at her Decese the land to belong to my son James Kenedy next I will the remaining part of my property to my son James Kenedy Nancy Kenedy and Betsey Kenedy & Courtney Kenedy Each an Equal part of all my property Except my land next I will unto my son James Kenedy the Remaining part of my land on which Elizabeth Kenedy now lives and my grey horse and my son James to pay my debts as far as fifteen dollars I will my Daughter Dinah Kenedy wife of my son Henry Kenedy one Dollar.
