DECATUR COUNTY, TN - CEMETERIES - Houston Cemetery (McKenzie Road) ========================================================================= David Donahue, the creator of this file, declares it to be in the public domain. ========================================================================= HOUSTON CEMETERY (McKenzie Road) Decatur County, Tennessee This cemetery, one of four "Houston" cemeteries in Decatur County, is located east of Parsons near the intersection of Mays Town Road and McKenzie Road. It is indicated southeast of Parsons on the U.S.G.S. Perryville quadrangle (1986). The cemetery appears to be a family cemetery. It is very well maintained. In 2004 there was one grave marked with a temporary marker plate with no information (Thomas Rains) and one unidentified grave marked with a fieldstone. David Donahue recorded this cemetery May 18, 1991 in the rain (and did a bad job of it). He checked and updated it January 31, 2004. Margarett Alexander, Blanche Tuten, and Nancy Jones recorded this cemetery April 30, 1976. Their record appears in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records published by the Captain Nathaniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, pp. 276-278. Burton, Ella, Jan. 1, 1879-Nov. 5, 1905 Burton, Ella, Oct. 20, 1905-Dec. 6, 1905, "Dau. of S.
