W. SUMMERSETT] I, W. W. Sommersett have this day bargained and sold to Deed ] and do hereby transfer and convey to James M. Graves J. M. Graves ] and his heirs forever for the consideration of Four hundred and ninety five Dollars to me paid a tract or parcel of land in the State of Tennessee in Decatur County in Civil District No. 8 containing by estimation Three Hundred and Twenty acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows In Range (?) and Section 11. Beginning at the south East corner of 200 acres in the name of Effa Harris runs West 200 poles to a Dogwood and pointers, thence South 172 poles to a Gum and pointers, thence East 280 poles to a Stake and beach pointers, Thence North 212 poles to a Chestnut and pointers, thence West 80 poles to a Gum and pointers, thence South 40 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the same to the said J. M. Graves his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said J. M. Graves that I am lawfully seized of said land and have a good right to convey it. And that the same is unencumbered. I do further Covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said J. M. Graves his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever. This the 6th day of May 1884. Test W. G. Riggs } W. W. Sommerset James W.
