Thomas I, D Hill for the love and affection I Entertain for Mary E. Thomas Daughter of D Hill Do hereby Give transfer and Convey to her a certain tract of land in Decatur & Henderson County Tennessee District No 12 and 13 containing by Estimation one hundred acres and bounded as follows beginning on the East bank of Cane Creek on a Stake the conditional line between D Hill and W G Lawrence heirs East course with the cross fence to a beech the conditional corner beteeen D Hill and W G Lawrence thence north to a poplar and Beech pointers thence East to the East Boundary line of the Same thence South with Said line to the Broadies ferry Road thence west with the Broadies ferry Road thence South 20 poles to a Stake thence west 28 poles to a white oak and beech pointers thence north with the meanderings of Cane creek to the Beginning to have and to hold the Same to the Said Mary E Thomas and her bodily heirs forever I covenant and agree for my Self and heirs to warrant and defend the title to the Said land to the Said Mary E Thomas and her bodily heirs forever against the Lawful claims of all persons whatever this October the 11th 1871 Dutton Hill John H Thomas J W Hill W G Lawrence State of Tennessee } Personally appeared before me John McMillan Clerk of Decatur County } the county court of Said county Dutton Hill the Bargainer with whom I am personally acquainted who acknowledged the Execution of the foregoing Deed to be his act and Deed for the purposes therein contained on the day it Bares date given under my hand at office this 17th day of January 1872 John McMillan Clerk State of Tennessee} Registers office February the 6th 1872 at 9 oclock Decatur County } A M then was the foregoin deed duly Recorded Book No 6 on page 424 noted in note Book D on page 46 and was Stamped as the Law Directs Wm.
