Dutton Hill to S.W. Riggs
I, Dutton Hill have this  bargained Sold and do herby convey and Transfer 
to S.W. Riggs and his heirs for ever for the consideration of the Sum of 
Seventy Two Dollars to me in hand paid a Tract of parsel of Land in the 
State of Tennessee Decatur County District No 12 containing by Estimation 
forty Acres be the Same more or less and bounded as follows towit.  
Begining at the north west corner of an Entry in the name of Thomas Bowen 
for 177 Acres thence South 28 1/2 poles to a Stake thence South 166 poles 
to a Stake thence East 88 1/2 poles to a Stake in the west boundry line of 
an entry in the name of Thomas Bowen for 177 Acres thence west 166 Poles 
to Said Bowen line to the Begining to have and to hold the Same to the 
Said S.W. Riggs his heirs and assigns for ever I do covenant with the S.W. 
Riggs that I am Lawfully Seized of Said Land and have a good right to 
convey it and that the Same is unincumbered.  I do further covenant and 
bind my Self and representatives to warrant & forever defend the title to 
the Said land and ever part thereof to the Said S.W. Riggs his heirs and 
assigns against the Lawfull Claims of all persons whatever this January 12 
1879.  Signed Sealed and delivered in our presents

the County Court of Said County Dutton Hill the Bargainer to whom I am
