Hill & wife M.A. Hill to James W. Hill For and in consideration of the sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged I have this day bargained and Sold and do hereby transfer and convey unto James W. Hill his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying the 8th Civil District of Decatur County Tennessee and bounded as follows Beginning on the N.W. Corner of J.K. Wood land and runs thence North 124 10/47 poles to a Stake on G.M. Babers Corner, Thence East 156 2/3 poles to a Stake, thence South 124 10/47 poles to a Stake & white oak pointer, thence West 156 2/3 poles to the beginning Containing 131 1/2 acres more or less, To Have and to hold, The said land to the said Jas. W. Hill his heirs and assigns forever. I further Covenant with the said James W. Hill that I am lawfully sezed and possessed of said land and have a good right to convey the same. And that the same is unencumbered. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal This the 28th day of December 1890. Test J.E. Counsil} C.M. You are hereby authorized and Decatur County } and empowered to take the examination of Mrs. M.A. Hill privately and apart from her husband relative to the free execution of the annexed Deed and the same so taken to certify under your hand and seal Given under my hand at office this 3rd day of Febry. 1891 J.E.
