S.W. Riggs to B.F. Cary
I S.W. Riggs have this day Bargained and Sold and do hereby transfer and
Convey to B.F. Cary and his heirs forever for the Consideration of three
hundred and thirty Dollars to me Paid a Tract or parcel of land in Decatur
County State of Tennessee in civil District No 12 Containing by Estimation
fifty acres be the Same More or Less and Bounded as follows Beginning at
the Mouth of the Ditch where it emties into the Slough then Down Said
Slough to the Creek then Down Said Creek to Martha Evans North Boundary
line thence East ... Poles to a Stake in J.W. Heringtons west Boundary line
thence North 64 Poles to a Stake thence West ... Poles to the Beginning
To have and to hold the Same to the Said B.F. Cary his heirs and assigns
forever I do Covenant with the Said B.F. Cary that I am Lawfully Seized 
of the Said Land have a good Right to Convey it and that the Same is
unencumbered I do further Covenant and bind my self my heirs and Represent-
atives to Warrant and forever Defend the title to the Land and every part
thereof to the Said B.F. Cary his heirs and assigns against the Lawful
Claims of All Persons Whatever this the 26th day of February 1885

State of Tennessee} Personally appeared before me J.E. Dees Clerk of the
Decatur County    } County Court of Said County S.W. Riggs the within 
named bargainer with whom I am Personally acquainted and acknowledged that
he Executed the within Deed for the purposes therein Contained upon the
day it bears date  Witness My hand at office this February the 26th 1885
