Deed Book D, page 433. Lewis P. Hicks to James Yeargan, 29 acres for $105.00. 

On water of Dismal Creek Dist 11 beginning at corner of tract L.P. Hicks 

bought of James Scott, N to pon oak, to hickory in Yeargan's line, N to a 

stake in Benj. Bennett's N.E. corner 2 Oct 1850 Reg 17 Aug 1852. Wit: John B. 

Claybourn, John B. Scott.

Additional Comments:
Lewis P. Hicks is my 3rd Ggf. he is listed in 1850 Dekalb Census  But moved to 

Madison Co Missouri by 1852. In Tennessee they always spelled his name as Lewis

But in Missouri they always spelled his name as Louis so I use both spellings. 

I have Never learned what his middle name was.  I hope some of my Info Will 

help others out on their Family lines.
