DeKALB COUNTY, TN - LETTERS - Resolution honoring James Marion Baker, Esq. --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- James Marion Baker, Esq. (Letter from the Committee of the Quarterly Court, De Kalb County, Tennessee to James Marion Baker's Widow, Barbary Robinson Baker) Whereas since the October term of this Honorable Court, it has pleased the Great and benificent author of our existence to remove from among us, one of our oldest and most highly respected associate, and regular attendance of the Quarterly Court in the person of Esquire J. M. Baker, we are pleased in honor of his memory to adopt the following resolutions, regarding his death. Therefore, be it resolve that the Quarterly Court of De Kalb County, Tennessee sincerely regret the death of J. M. Baker, Esq. who has for many years been a member of Quarterly Court, for said county, and one of its most regular attendance, we realize he has done his life's work well, and is called to his reward we cherish his memory and extend to his bereaved wife and relatives our deepest sympathy in this hour of their sad bereavement and recommend that these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this Court that they be published in the Smithville Review and that a copy be furnished his sorrowing wife.
