Christian was known as "Kittie," and was the daughter of John HUMBER and Elizabeth CHRISTIAN of Goochland Co., VA. She married Devereaux JARRETT, who died in Goochland Co. in 1818. WILL OF CHRISTIAN JARRETT I, Christian Jarrett, of the County of Fayette and the State of Tennessee, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made And first I desire that my body be decently enterred in a manner suitable to my condition in life. And as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to entrust me I dispose of the same as follows: First: I desire that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible out of any moneys that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my executors from any portion of my estate real or personal. Secondly: I give and bequeath to my son David P. Jarrett the tract of land which I own in the State of Virginia and likewise one equal third part of my estate to him and his heirs forever. Thirdly: I give and bequeath to my daughter Catherine M. May one equal third part of my estate to her and her heirs forever. Fourthly: I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Elizabeth C. David the balance of my estate to her and her heirs forever. Fifthly: I do hereby make, ordain and appoint William M. May and William David executors of this my last will and testament. In Witness whereof, I, Christian Jarrett the said testatrix, have to this sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four.
