Davis This indenture made and entered into this day between Mary J. + George W. Pearson of the first part and J. W. Davis of the other part all of the County of Franklin and State of Tennessee witnesseth this for and in consideration of the same of seventy five dollars to us in hand paid. the party of the other part the receipt whenof is hereby acknowlegded hence bargained and sold and by these persuits do bargain sell transfer and convey to the said J. W. Davis a certain tract of parcel of land lying in the County and State of Tennessee Civil District No. 7 and bounded as folows Viz Beginning at a stake and poin??? in Samuel Daniels line and running thence South with said Daniels line fifty seven poles to a stke and pointer. Thence North fifty seven poles to a stke and pointer. Thence East fifty seven ploes to a small maple and pointer in a small Dam And thence South with the Simpson line fifty seven poles to the Beginning- Containing by estimation twenty acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the same to the said J. W. Davis, him his heirs and assigns forever a good and sufficient title to the same and we further covenant with J. W. Davis that we are lawfully signed of said land and have a good right to transfer the same and that we warrant and defend the good and legal title to the same against the Claim or Claims of all persons whomever. On testimony whenceof we have hereunto subscribed our names in the presence of withnesses. This 14th day of Feby 1883. M. J. Pearson G.W. Pearson his mark State of Tennessee Franklin County Personally appeared before me James G. Aydelott Dp. Clerk of the County Court of said County the within named G. W. Pearson and M. J. Pearson the bargainors with whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged that they executed the annexed instrument for the purposes therein expressed. And M. J. Pearson wife of the said G. W. Pearson having personally appeared before me privately and apart form her husband the said G. W. Pearson, acknowledged the execution of the said instrument to have been done by her freely. Volunterily and understanding by withouth compulsion or constraint from her said husband and for the purposes therein expressed. Witness James G.
