FRANKLIN COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - Jemimah Davis to J S Davis, 3 Jan 1889 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Deed Book 13, page 533 Franklin County Archives, Tennessee - For a full and valuable consideration to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is herein acknowledged, the same having been paid by J S Davis, I hereby sell transfer and convey unto him the said J S Davis, all the right title claim and intrest, being a right of redemption of the land sold in the cause of W H Pylant + wife in the Chancery Court of Franklin County Tennessee, by H J Van Deputy Sheriff, and bid off, by the said J S Davis, which is shown on the Execution Docket of said Court page 241 which land is described as follows to wit - Beginning on the S W corner of the Rachael Beard 50 acre tract + runs South 40 poles to a stake in the West boundary of the Polly Beard 150 acre tract, thence East 168 poles to a stake, in the East boundry of said tract, thence West 186 poles to the begining containg 92 acres and which was afterwards reduced + the bid advanced by W H Pylant + wife, as shown by said Chancery record, which is here refered to for all the particulars + being unable to pay the redemption money refunded + the further fact, that the said J S Davis was the original purchaser under said sale and being unable myself to redeem after the advance bid this conveyance is given and made to him of all my rights of equity of redemption or otherwise and upon his redeeming the same under the laws, he is substituted to all the rights + privileges, that I could have to redeem said land, + in case of his redemption of the same ask that the necessary deeds be made to him as fully as could have been made to me - In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name to this January 3rd 1889 attest Roy Fitzpatrick Jemimah Davis (her mark) State of Tennessee} Franklin County} Personally appeared before me Dick Taylor Deputy Clerk of County Court of said County the the within named Jemimah Davis, the bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that she executed the within instrument for the purposes therein contained.
