FRANKLIN COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - John Herrod to William Sharp, 28 Dec 1812 ----¤¤¤---- Franklin County, Tennessee Deed Book B, page 198 Margin: #289 Margin: John Herrod to Wm Sharp Deed 176 acres 1812 This indenture made this twenty eighth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve between John Herrod of Franklin County and State of Tennessee of the one part and William Sharpe of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said John Herrod for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid by the said William Sharpe the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed unto the said William Sharp a certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County of Franklin aforesaid on the (waters) of the boiling fork containing one hundred and seventy six acres be the same more or less. Beginning at a post oak in the east boundary line of Andrew Jackson and John Hutchins one thousand acre tract running then so North with their line one hundred and eighty poles to a stake, then East ninety poles to a stake, then South one hundred and eighty poles to a hickory, then East two poles to a stake, then South one hundred and thirty four poles to a stake, then West ninety two poles to a stake in said Jackson's and Hutchins line, then with their line North one hundred and thirty four poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights, profits, emoluments, heredittaments(sic) and appurtenances of, in and to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said William Sharpe, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said John Herrod for himself, his heirs, executors & administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said William Sharpe, his heirs or assigns that the before recited land and bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against the right title, interest or claim of all and every person or persons. In witness whereof the said John Herrod hath here unto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written.
