McDowell, N.D. Sandiford, and Nimrod Johnson as administrators of Parmanus Johnson’s estate. Very difficult to read. From Gibson County Court Records. September Term 1853, Gibson County Court. John D. McDowell, Admr of Parmanus Johnson dec’d. We John D. McDowell, N.D. Sandiford, and Nimrod Johnson are held and firmly bound unto the State of Tennessee in the [?] sum of fifteen thousand dollars for which payment ? will and duly be made we bind ourselves ??? as executors and administrators. The condition of the obligation is .... [I just can’t read it]. Court seems to be doing this on September 5, 1853. Except for the first line mentioning administrators of Parmanus Johnson’s estate, I can’t see much that applies to the administration of Johnson’s estate. In about the 2nd paragraph there’s something about making a just and accurate account to the court and there’s further reference to “his death”. Witness: J.A. McDearmon, Clk.
