Nimrod Johnson, Guar.

State of Tennessee Gibson County. Know all men by these presents that we,
Nimrod Johnson, Edwin Sharp, R.P. Raines of the county and state aforesaid are
held and firmly bound unto the State of Tennessee in the sum of five ?
thousand dollars to be paid to State and which payment will and truly be made
we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, or administrators jointly severally
and forever ? by these presents [?] ... 5th day of September 1853. The
condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Johnson
was this day chosen and approved guardian of the heirs of Francis Nix .

Now if the said N. Johnson will and duly perform the duties of guardian for [
? ] the said minor orphans and in all respects [?] to his duty faithfully then
this obligation ..... [ ? ].
