James M. Rogers and wife, P.J.; Nimrod Johnson Registered November 17th 1857. Mr. James M. Rogers and Martha his wife of the county of Owen and State of Kentucky appoint Nimrod Johnson of Gibson County Tennessee our Attorney in fact to receive from the Clerk of the County of Gibson our share of the proceeds of the sale of the slaves which were in the hands of the said Johnson as guardian of said Martha and her said brothers and sisters. Said Johnson to execute such receipts as may be necessary to remit said funds as he may be directed. Witness our hands and seals this 19th day of October, 1857. s/ James M. Rogers (seal) s/ Martha C.
