G. F. Butler To { Deed W. H. Butler Know all men by these presents That I, Geo. F. Butler for and in consideration of the sum of $700.00) Seven Hundred Dollars as follows: Cash in hand paid. My 1/3 undivided interest in the following 3 tracts of land situated in the 17th district of Gibson County Tennessee, have this day sold and transferred to W. H. Butler my 1/3 undivided interest in the following tracts of land. 1st tract Bounded as follows, Beginning at North East Corner of Burrell Pattersons tract, running North to the Obion River, with Boyles tract, thence West with said River to G. Cannon tract, thence South with said tract to B. Pattersons tract; thence east with said tract to the beginning containing by estimation One Hundred and Sixty acres be the same more or less, for reference this deed see deed book 6 page 190. 2nd., tract in same district and bounded as follows; Beginning at the North east corner at a dogwood with Elm pointers running thence South - - - poles to a stake with black oak and red oak pointers; thence West - - poles to Zack Hudson's line; thence North - - - poles to J. G. Butlers corner; thence East to the beginning corner on J. G. Butlers land containing 16 acres more or less, see deed book No. 22 page 468 for this deed. 3rd, tract in same district and bounded as follows: - Bounded on the North by Butler on the west by Butler on the South by Flippin and on the East by Pratt containing by estimation 15 acres be the same more or less, for reference see deed book No. 25 page 33. To have and to hold the said 1/3 undivided interest in the above 3 tracts or all the land that my father Jessie G. Butler owns at this time to the said W. H. Butler his heirs and assigns forever, and I covenant with the said W. H. Butler that I am lawfully seized and posessed (sic) of said 1/3 undivided interest in said land and that the same is free from all encumbrances and I bind myself my heirs and assigns to warrant and defend the title to said land against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. Bruff a Notary Public in and for said County and State, the within named G. F. Butler and wife Ora Butler the bargainors with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that they executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained. And Ora butler wife of the said Geo. F. Butler having personally appeared before me, privately and apart from her husband, the said Ora Butler acknowledged the execution of said deed to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly without compulsion or constraint from her husband, and for the purpose therein expressed.
