Freeman to Deed James Penny Registered Dec 20th 1860 I WW Freeman have this day bargained and sold and do hereby convey to James Penny for the sum of one thousand to me in hand paid the following tract of land situated and lying in Gibson County Tennessee Civil District No7 in being the North Eastern part of the Major Bledsoe Old Tract and begins at a poplar, the South West corner of the tract on which the said Penny now lives and runs hence South 110 1/2 poles to a Elm thence East 91 8/111 poles to a Small White Oak On Alexander Freeman West boundary line, thence North 110 ½ poles to a Stake with poplar, Black Oak, White Oak & Hickory pointers on Said Penneys South boundary line; thence West 89 poles to the beginning containing Sixty Two acres To have and to hold the said land to the said Penney and his heirs forever and I covenant the title to the said land to the said Penny and his heirs against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever this December 1860 WW Freeman (Seal) Filed Dec 18th 1860 at 1 Oclock PM
