A.. King to L. King Registered Feby 23rd, 1884 Tennessee, Gibson County, Civil District No 7 January 20th 1883. KNow all Men by these presents that Henry A. King has this day bargained and sold to Luther King of the County and State aforesaid a part or parcel of land say thirty five acres it being one half of undivided Seventy acres deeded to me by M.C.(?) Goodloe all of which is an undivided half of the tract of land on which we both now live for the consideration of Two hundred Dollars Cash in hand paid the said Luther King is to have and to hold forever. I am seized with the "rite" to sell or convey the said land is unincumbered in any way whatsoever. I here with warrent and defend the "rite" of said against any and all lawful claims whatsoever. Where unto we set our hand and seals. Henry A. King Susan A. King State of Tennessee Gibson County Personally appeared before me Jno. D. Carne Clerk of the County Court of said County, Henry A. King, the within named bargained with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the attached instrument for the purpose therein expressed. And Mrs. Susan A. King with whom I am personally acquainted and wife of said Henry A. King, having personally appeared before me, privately and apart from her said husband and she having been duly informed by me of her rights under the Homestead and Exemption laws of the State of Tennessee acknowledged the due execution of the annexed Deed to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly without Compulsion or Constraint by her said husband and for the purposes therein expressed and that she relinquishes all homestead interest in the same.
