This indenture made and entered concluded this 26th day of March 1836 between Priscilla Harper of the County of Gibson and State of Tennessee of the first part and Henry D. Harper of the same County and State. Witnesseth that I the said Priscilla Harper hath this day for and in consideration of the natural Love and affection which I bear to my son the said Henry D. Harper and the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged bargained sold and conveyed to the said Henry D. Harper all my right title claim and interest that I have in and to all that part of the estate of Samuel Harper my deceased husband which is now in the State of North Carolina and do hereby authorize the said Henry D. Harper to institute suit in my name for the recovery of my part of said estate if it should become necessary in as full and ample a manner as I myself could do were I personally present hereby ratifying whatsoever the said Henry D. Harper may do in the presence. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this date above written.
