Trenton Feb 12th 1866

For and in the consideration of the sum of Twenty Seven-hundred the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged except one Thousand Dollars and a lein retained
until paid I convey to W Peney the following Described Tract of Land in the
County of Gibson State of Tenn District No 7 The following Tract of land
Beginning at the North East Corner of the original Tract of land Divided
between the heirs of J F Davis Deed by Decree of Chancery Court at Trenton
Tenn then West 93 ninety three poles to a Stake To a hickory then South Two
hundred & Twenty (227) seven poles To To a Stake Thence east 93 ninety Three
poles to a Stake & pointers Thence north Two hundred & Twenty (228) eight
poles To To the beginning being lot No 1 in the above referd To Division
(reserving the Graveyard) containing one hundred and Thirty five acres more or
less to have and hold at the same in fee simple against the lawful claims of
all persons whatever and I farther agree To forever warrant and refund the
Title! to him and his heirs in Witness of Same I now set my hand Stamp. Thos.
