LANKFORD were called to the bedside of their son and brother,Roy ATCHISON,who died near Hope Hill Tuesday,after an illness of typhoid fever. -LOCAL HAPPENINGS IN AND ABOUT TOWN--Mr.J.N.MIDYETT,of Jackson,spent Sunday with friends in Humboldt. --Mr.Odie SPRAGGINS came home from Wilson,Ark.,to attend the funeral of Claude SPRAGGINS. --Mr.John FOLTZ was called to Indianapolis,Ind.,Wednesday,on account of the death of his father,Nicholas FOLTZ. --Mr.F.X.FOLTZ was also called to Ind.,on account of the death of his brother,Nicholas FOLTZ.He was accompanied by his wife and his daughter,Miss Laura. --Frank GATEWOOD,of Marathon,Texas,has been here this week,visiting his father,J.W.GATEWOOD.He left Wednesday for Louisville to visit his sister,Mrs.J.S.LOUGHMILLER,before returning home.
