Lawrence, well-known over Tennessee for his saddle horses, died at his home 3 miles southwest of Trenton Wednesday about noon, after an hour's illness. Mr. Lawrence was reared and educated in Trenton. He was the son of Will and Kate Miller Lawrence. He was a deacon in the First Presbyterian Church here. Since he closed out his grocery business in Trenton Mr. Lawrence has been a traveling salesman selling fruits from the Mark Wade orchards of Washington State. He was 53 years old. He leaves his wife, Annie Lucile Wade Lawrence, a sister, Mrs. W. E. Scarborough, of Jackson, and an uncle, J. R. Lawrence, of Trenton.
