Maryville Times, (Blount Co. TN) Wednesday, August 23, 1893:  

"Squire Bassell Rust died at Humboldt [Gibson Co. TN] last week. Rust was one of
the oldest settlers in the county, having lived only a few miles from Humboldt
for sixty-five years."
